RE: Place to park/store MH down south?

We're focusing our questions a little. Specifically, we're looking for storage areas (with or without a CG in "exremely Southern" states like Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. If you can, please send me rates, too.

Place to park/store MH down south long-term

This is going to sound too vague because we're looking for preliminary info. We have a 34 foot Class A that my husband can't drive that much any more because of disability problems.
We'd like to find a campground "down south" (from South Carolina to Arizona...) where it would be warm during the winter. Looking for somewhere where we could store it and then use it during the winter. During the summer, we might want to move it to other locations.
We don't want to buy a place (no memberships, etc.) because we don't want to be tied to the same place. Some amenities that would be desirable are:
- Near beach or river (husband loves water)
- Not too isolated
- Some activities around (shopping and casinos are NOT activities for us!)
- Well maintained and clean area with friendly people!
If you know of some places like this where we could rent a spot and/or store the unit from month to month, please let me know.

RE: What's wrong with Illinois?

We're from Wisconsin now (but I was born and raised in Illinois) and I've never really understood the "up nort'" mentality. Plenty of people from southern Wisconsin go up north to fish, etc, too.
Our favorite campground is in Illiniois! I think the state park system in Illinois is nicer - easier to contact, make a reservation, more electrical sites, more trees, don't need a sticker - than in Wisconsin, but I know people that disagree.
Just my 2 cents.

Tahoe to Yosemite?

We're hoping to take a long road trip next June/July to California (from Wisconsin) We'll be heading a cross Utah and Nevada, hopefully passing through Lakek Tahoe and then to Yosemite. We have a 34 ft Class A, and we try to avoid roads that go on ledges with low or no guard rails, like those in Rocky Mountain NP or the San Juan Skyway in Colorado. What would be the best way to get from Lake Tahoe to a CG with electrical around Groveland or somewhere near Yosemite?
Thanks,
Carol

Best CG around Lake Tahoe

We're hoping to go west across Nevada and into California next June/July. I'd like to spend a night somewhere around Lake Tahoe. We'd normally choose a CG with shady sites and fire rings or pits. We don't need internet access and don't care to be close to a casino. We have a 34 ft RV and no toad, so being close to the lake would be very nice.
